RECIPE FOR ITALIAN SAUSAGES ROTINI SALISICCIA

Title: Italian Sausages Rotini Salisiccia

Ingredients:
1.00 lb,   Rotini
1.50 lb,   Italian sausage,1/2" slices
4.00 oz,   Mushrooms,fresh,slices
0.33 cup,   Green pepper,chopped
0.33 cup,   Onion,chopped
0.25 cup,   Butter or margarine
0.50 cup,   Flour
1.50 tsp,   Salt
1.00 tsp,   Mustard,dry
4.00 cup,   Milk
1.50 cup,   Cheddar cheese,shredded
1.50 cup,   Swiss cheese,shredded
1.00 tbsp,   Worcestershire sauce


Instructions:
1.
Cook rotini in boiling salted water until firm, but not quite tender, 6 to 7 minutes; drain and set aside.
2.
Brown sausage on both sides in a large saucepan; remove from pan, reserving dripping.
3.
Add mushrooms, green pepper, onion and butter to sausage drippings; cook over medium heat 3 minutes.
4.
Stir in flour, salt and dry mustard.
5.
Gradually blend in milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
6.
Stir in cheeses and Worcestershire sauce; continue cooking until cheeses melt.
7.
Mix in sausage and rotini.
8.
Divide mixture between two greased 2-quart baking dishes; bake in preheated 350'F.
oven about 30 to 40 minutes.
9.
Serve hot.
