RECIPE FOR BLACK WALNUT TAFFY

Title: Black Walnut Taffy

Ingredients:
2.00 cup,   Sugar
1.00 tbsp,   Butter or butter substitute
0.50 cup,   Sweetened condensed milk
0.50 cup,   Chopped nuts
1.00 cup,   Molasses
1.00 tsp,   Vanilla
0.25 tsp,   Salt
0.50 cup,   Water


Instructions:
Boil molasses, sugar, salt, milk, water, and butter to hard ball stage (265 ~ 270 F).
Add flavoring.
Spread nuts over the bottom of a well-buttered pan.
Pour taffy over nuts.
Cool.
Pull until stiff and creamy.
Cut in 1-inch pieces.
